Liz K. Hensel
Serial Entrepreneur
Liz K. Hensel was born in Lima, Peru, and immigrated to the United States when she
was three. Liz is a woman who has a multifaceted journey of service, entrepreneurship, and academic pursuit.
Having served her country with honor in the United States Marine Corps,
she embodies resilience and dedication. Following her military service, she embarked
on a path of entrepreneurship, founding a non-profit organization called Leave No Paws
Behind USA, which successfully lobbied and advocated to include pet reimbursement
fees when military families PCS. Through her leadership and vision, the organization has
made a profound impact, providing essential resources and support to those who have
served.
In addition to her philanthropic endeavors, Liz is also a savvy businesswoman,
successfully running multiple ventures prioritizing innovation, community engagement,
and social responsibility.
She owns Munay Pacha which translates to Love Earth, an eco-friendly brand paying homage to her Peruvian roots and the brand behind Inca Gold Wine.
She is the host and producer of the Latina She Served
Podcast, a platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of remarkable community
influencers.
During her deployment to Afghanistan in 2010, Liz was hit by a car, which resulted in a
traumatic brain injury. Driven by a passion for holistic healing and a desire to serve
others, especially the invisible injuries of war, Liz is currently pursuing a doctorate in
Acupuncture. Combining her military background with her entrepreneurial spirit and
dedication to holistic health, she seeks to leverage her diverse experiences to make a
meaningful difference in the lives of others.
With her unwavering determination, compassionate heart, and entrepreneurial vision, Liz
continues to inspire others and positively impact her local community and beyond. Her
journey exemplifies the power of service, leadership, and lifelong learning to create
lasting change and empower others to reach their fullest potential.
Her favorite places to volunteer are the USO and Central Virginia Horse Rescue, and she
has been named the 2024 Military Spouse of the Year for Marine Corps Base Quantico.
